Today my dad was in the room when they rolled her to her side to check her epidural so that she was facing away from him when he said "that didn't seem to bother her too much." The nurse who was facing mom said that she rolled her eyes VERY distinctly at my dad's comment. My dad feels bad that he said that (he won't be happy I wrote it in here) but it makes me feel like she really is understanding a lot of what is going on around her.
We are having a family meeting tomorrow with her main doctor where they will bring us up to speed. Hopefully we'll have a lot of info to post tomorrow. Sleep well mom.
Thank you so much for thinking of this way to keep friends, family, and ward members apprised of our sweet Laura's condition and progress. I've been so upset and concerned for her situation.
ReplyDeleteWhen you said that Laura rolled her eyes at Mylan as he said, "That wasn't too bad" I cracked up because that sounded so much like what she would say aloud if she could.
In the meantime I've been so glad that Laura and I had the chance to visit earlier in the month. Unfortunately, our plan to use some of her 2-for-1 coupons will be stalled. She and I both were looking forward to having an outing. I'm praying that we will still get together and enjoy a treat. Laura has been a joy in my life as a friend, fellow-writer, and her visiting teacher.
May God bless and continue to watch over our sweet Laura. I will join your fast on her behalf this Sunday.
